School Tours
For over a decade, we've been growing more than crops — we've been educating the school students of Hawai'i through our nonprofit arm.

Since our very first school tour on October 22, 2013 — when 95 sixth graders from Waikele Elementary stepped off the bus and onto the farm — Nalo Farms Educational Outreach has spent 13 years cultivating curiosity in the next generation.
That day marked the beginning of a tradition we're still proud to carry on today free of charge.
BEI Educational Deck
Built in 2013, the BEI Educational Deck is where learning happens up close.

Rising above our fish tanks, the 1,500-square-foot BEI Educational Learning Center is the heart of every Nalo Farms tour.
From this elevated deck, visitors and students take in sweeping views of the entire farm and get an up-close look at our working fish tank systems — tilapia included. Beyond just a viewing platform; it's a hands-on space built for education and volunteerism, where keiki and community members alike come to learn how our farm grows.

Photovoltaics
Kunia Country Farms, now Nalo Farms, was awarded a REAP grant from the US Department of Agriculture to cover 25% of the cost of a 20KW Solar Voltaic system.
